Noted Cubs fan Bill Murray calls the St. Louis Cardinals ‘Satan’s messengers
Dang, Bill Murray. If Mike Matheny heard this he’d be so bummed right now.
When the actor and Chicago native was playing in the John Deere Classic Pro-Am on Wednesday, Murray asked the crowd if they saw the Cubs sweep the Cardinals during the doubleheader on Tuesday.

When one fan in the gallery shouted, “That’s my team you’re talking about”, Murray shot back: “That’s your team?”
[Murray] also found time for nearly everyone who approached him Wednesday, especially if you were a little kid or a pretty girl.
That’s when a woman behind the ropes said she was a Cardinals fan.
“Are you a Cardinals fan?”
Then, as if those two things weren’t enough, he called the St. Louis Cardinals “satan’s messengers on earth”. And when someone admitted to being a Cards’ fan, Murray deadpanned, “No wonder there’s something coming off your body like an ectoplasmic phosphor”.
A lot of people don’t like the St. Louis Cardinals. Bill Murray is too unpredictable a foe.
