Notre Dame LB James Onwualu out vs Boston College with knee injury

Boston College defensive coordinator Donnie Brown has built another dominant group, doing it behind productive players like Steven Daniels, Harold Landry and Matt Milano-largely anonymous to Irish fans until they’re wreaking havoc in Notre Dame’s backfield.

A week after being held to their lowest yardage total of the season, Notre Dame travels to Boston to take on the nation’s best statistical defense.

While Boston College isn’t traveling very far, Saturday’s tilt at Fenway actually counts as a home game for Notre Dame.

Starting linebacker James Onwualu will miss Saturday’s game against the Boston College Eagles at Fenway Park due to a second-degree MCL sprain in his left knee. “Very proud of what they’ve accomplished in their four years here”.

With the Pac-12 on the outside looking in, that leaves Notre Dame and the Big XII victor as the likely next option.

The Irish close the regular season on November 28 at No. 7 Stanford. True freshman Taj-Amir Torres will likely start, with corner Isaac Yiadom banged up as well.

That TD run was the longest play from scrimmage in ND’s storied history. Kizer also added 13 carris for 30 yards and 2 touchdowns. He’s now had a rushing TD in six of the last seven games.

“BC’s throwback jerseys include numbers drawn to mimic the font worn during the 1984 season and a base layer with a stripe that is exact same as the one [for] the Hail Mary and Cotton Bowl uniforms”, the school said in a news release explaining the design.
