Novak Djokovic Claims Title Over Roger Federer

Djokovic is the first player in the tournament’s 46-year history to take home the trophy four years in a row and he joins Pete Sampras and Ivan Lendl on five victories at the season-ending event.

Novak Djokovic did not drop serve sweeping Roger Federer, 6-3, 6-4, to capture his record fourth consecutive World Tour Finals crown.

The 28-year-old has stomped through the season to leave his rivals trailing in his wake – securing the year-end world number one ranking weeks before the London finale.

It seems that for each of the past several seasons, prognosticators have stated at the start of the calendar year that the dominance of the Big Four (Djokovic, Federer, Nadal and Andy Murray) is clearly on the wane.

And it’s the tactical approach of Federer that has made the 17-time Grand Slam victor the man most capable of thwarting the irrepressible Serb, according to former Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek.
