Now, use WhatsApp Web on your iPhone
If others follow suit and embrace Windows 10 as WhatsApp Web’s developers are doing, it can only be good news for users as it will significantly increase the functionality available in the ecosystem.
The web client for WhatsApp still remains to be a feature that’s supported on the Android. For using the WhatsApp service on the Web, iPhone users simply have to open their app, click on “Settings, ‘ and then select ‘Whatsapp Web”.
You need to login to web.whatsapp.com and it will present you a QR code.
It’s taken a while, but WhatsApp has finally gotten around to launching an iOS-compatible Web version of its popular messaging app. When the client launched in January, Android users were fine, as were owners of Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and Nokia devices.
Following a successful launch earlier this year for Chrome users, WhatsApp Web will soon be supported on the default Windows 10 browser, Edge, as reported by Neurogadget.
The most notable of its newest features is WhatsApp Calling.
For now, it seems like the WhatsApp team is rolling out the functionality in phases, so some users will probably not be able to sync to WhatsApp Web right away.
The jailbreak tweak for iPhone that we were going to talk about is called “WhatsApp Web Enabler” which, as can be guessed from the name, enables the WhatsApp web client service on iOS platforms.
Tap the WhatsApp Web option and it will present you the camera viewfinder using which you have to scan the QR code you see in the web browser.
Cutting it short, basically the WhatsApp web client is a mirror or a reflection of your WhatsApp app, with minor changes to the user interface.
WhatsApp Web has been going through a series of upgrades itself since launch and is rapidly bringing much of the functionality of the WhatsApp mobile app to the web experience.
