NS man facing charge after BC border agents find fentanyl
RCMP have charged a 20-year-old man from Nova Scotia with sexual assault, following an incident on a flight from Calgary to Halifax on Tuesday, August 11.
The woman told investigators she was assaulted by a passenger who was seated next to her as the WestJet plane flew from Calgary to Halifax.
A man has been arrested after sexually assaulting a woman on board an aeroplane.
The man was apparently moved to a different seat for the rest of the flight which arrived shortly before 6:00 p.m. and police met the plane once it landed.
RCMP say the victim was a 69-year-old woman from British Columbia, who was sitting beside the accused when the incident happened.
States has been released and is scheduled to appear in a Halifax court September 24.
Robert Palmer, spokesman with WestJet, said there were five crew members and 132 guests on board the Boeing Next Generation 737-700 at the time.
Police say their investigation continues.
