NYC Real Estate Executive Accused In Fatal DWI Crash On Long Island
August. 30, 7:40 p.m.: Sean P. Ludwick, a former partner in BlackHouse Development, a New York City real estate firm, was charged with drunken driving early Sunday morning following a one-car crash in which his passenger was killed.
This story has been corrected to show the victim’s last name is Hansen, not Hanson.
Sean Ludwick, 42, of Sag Harbor, faces a misdemeanor DWI charge and a felony count of leaving the scene of a fatal accident after crashing his 2013 silver Porsche into a telephone pole around 2 a.m., according to police.
He’s expected to be arraigned this morning on charges of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
Police say Ludwick left Hansen on the ground-he was apparently ejected from the car-and continued driving with a couple of flat tires. Defense attorney Daniel Ollen declined to comment on the charges.
His passenger, 53-year-old Sag Harbor realtor Paul Hansen, was pronounced dead at the scene, which was directly in front of the home where he lived with his wife and sons aged 11 and 13, the New York Post reports.
This is not the first time that Ludwick has been in legal trouble.
A Manhattan real-estate developer is being held on $1 million bond following a deadly late-night auto wreck in the Hamptons.
“It’s all my artwork”, Ludwick told the paper.
