NYPD Seek Man Seen At Two Hotels Where Dead Women Were Found
Police say that a 43-year-old woman was found dead on Tuesday at the Manhattan Broadway Hotel at 273 West 38th St.
The body of a 35-year-old Staten Island woman was discovered July 23 at the Bushwick Hotel in Brooklyn, said Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce.
The man, identified as Joseph Danclair, 36, of Brooklyn, reportedly met two women on the street on two separate occasions and brought them to different hotels. The Post reports that in the Brooklyn case, “Sources said the hotel room was wiped clean but Danclair’s fingerprint was recovered at the scene…”
According to authorities, both women appeared have been strangled, although the manner of death is still pending by the medical examiner.
Police also are investigating whether Danclair raped a woman in an abandoned building in Brownsville in August.
Danclair is described as 5-foot-six-inches tall and 170 pounds with a medium complexion, short black hair and brown eyes. It includes 28 arrests, including drug charges, robbery and kidnapping.
