O’Malley ‘weak’ and ‘pathetic’ for apologizing to Black Lives Matter
Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley touted criticism from GOP candidate Donald Trump – and the National Rifle Association – in a fundraising email on Friday, noting that he is “proud to stand with those who have the guts to stand up to him“.
It’s presidential hopeful Martin O’Malley’s turn in the crosshairs of Donald Trump.
In an interview with Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro running this weekend, Trump criticized O’Malley for apologizing for his remarks at Netroots Nation that “all lives matter” in response to the Black Lives Matter activists who had protested his on-stage interview.
At one event, O’Malley responded to the chants of “black lives matter” by saying that “all lives matter”. “And then they get angry because you said ‘white” and ‘all” …
Trump, of all people, then accused O’Malley of being politically incorrect by backtracking for saying “all lives matter”, which Trump noted was a true statement.
Republican frontrunner Donald Trump blasted O’Malley for this
“It speaks volumes about the Republican Party today that this is their frontrunner”, she added of Trump. “All lives (matter), which is true”, continued the real estate mogul, who owns three New Jersey golf courses and once owned three Atlantic City casinos.
Trump’s jab at O’Malley came the day after the Democrat led a demonstration in Las Vegas for union rights that included Trump worldwide Hotel employees. “They have the courage to stand up to the hate, to the division, to the sort of rhetoric that actually makes it harder for us to make our economy grow and work well for all Americans”.
O’Malley has been an afterthought thus far in the Democratic race behind Hillary Clinton and Sen.
