Obama Discusses The ‘Greatest Frustration’ Of His Presidency
“We want to make sure that the United Kingdon continues to have that influnce”, Mr Obama told the BBC, in his latest comments reinforcing the importance Washington places on the UK remaining in the EU.
US President Barack Obama has talked about the importance of the relationship between the UK and the US.
“And is part of the cornerstone of institutions built after World War Two that has made the world more safer and prosperous”.
The U.S. President also praised British Prime Minister David Cameron as an outstanding partner and congratulated the UK government for meeting the NATO’s target of spending 2 percent of GDP on defense, BBC said.

Obama says that while fewer than 100 Americans have been killed by terrorism since September 11, 2001, tens of thousands have been killed by gun violence.
Obama said he felt he had made strides in many political arenas but that it was “distressing” not to have affected significant change in gun laws “even in the face of repeated mass killings”.
Despite experiencing roadblocks in Congress, Obama said that he will not stop pursuing gun control regulations during the last months of his presidency.
After nine African-American churchgoers were killed in South Carolina in June, he admitted “politics in this town” meant there were few options available.
Children growing up during the eight years of his presidency “will have a different view of race relations in this country and what’s possible”, he said. “But if you look at my daughters’ generation, they have an attitude about race that’s entirely different than even my generation”, he said.
