Obama Has Some Political Advice for Kanye West
“Those were the golden years, and then I came in and messed it up”.
Obama joked that Kanye’s bid to become president, “or as he calls it, Peezy”, was “CRAY” and made a quip by saying the star actually should be Speaker for the House.
And in reference to Kanye’s 2010 album “My handsome Dark Twisted Fantasy”, he added: “This is the second tip, saying that you have a lovely, dark, twisted fantasy”.
“Fanning intolerance isn’t going to solve the problem”, Obama said. The president told the 1,000-plus people attending the fundraiser in San Francisco that Republican candidates seeking to succeed him are painting a dismal picture for voters.
Obama stopped short of endorsing West for office, which is not too surprising considering the president has previously called West a “jackass” twice. But, what was most talked about, was the little bit he said toward the end about his future political dreams. “Why are they so grumpy?”
Kanye West’s presidential run may have officially been confirmed as an actual serious endeavour by the man himself, but let’s be real.
Kimye jetted into the Bay area on Friday night. “No matter who you love, if you work hard in this country, you can make it. And that we as a society, are willing to hold hands and lift you up, and give you the opportunities to succeed”. DeJenney Davis said, “Firemen, policemen, school teachers they can’t afford to live here”. Tickets cost up to $10,000.
Just in case you forgot how President Obama can be, allow him to refresh your memory from his latest engagement at the Democratic National Committee in San Francisco yesterday, October 10.
President Obama had a few words of advice this morning for the 2020 campaign’s current frontrunner. Donors paid $33,400-per person for the fundraiser. He has always been a supporter of Mr Obama, and has performed at several Democrat events. On Friday, the President met with families of victims from the Umpqua Community College shootings in Roseburg, Oregon. Two more shootings occurred on college campuses on the same day. “And the other side has gone off the deep end”.
