Obama Plays Golf With Larry David During Martha’s Vineyard Vacation, Larry
Oak timber Tricks, Mass. Simply.S. President Barack Obama and previous President Bill Clinton enjoyed golf together on Saturday in advance of a night birthday party for Washington potential adviser and friend Vernon Jordan.
President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, and their daughter Sasha arrived in Massachusetts at the Martha’s Vineyard Airport on Friday evening to begin their 16 day vacation. Ambassador Ron Kirk, the former U.S. Trade Representative, rounded out Saturday’s foursome.
President Obama and his family departed the White House for the Massachusetts getaway on August 7, a day earlier than their scheduled departure date. The group attended Jordan’s birthday celebration with their families, and Bill’s wife, Hillary, even flew in for the party.
Jordan (right) has known the Obamas for decades and used to advise Bill Clinton.
The Clintons are familiar faces on the Vineyard; they have long spent summer vacations on the Island, including when they were in the White House.
But don’t expect photos of the glitzy event.
When Jordan made his putt, Obama fished the ball out of the hole and threw it back to him before making a putt of his own.
The Vineyard Gazette is posting regular updates on the Obama family vacation here.
Reporters and photographers covering Obama’s vacation on Martha’s Vineyard are not permitted to attend.
Biden running could create a politically awkward situation for Obama, though he is not expected to endorse a candidate in the party primary. Presidential hopeful Donald Trump called her use of the server “a criminal problem” during a visit to the Iowa State Fair, CNN reported.
