Obama plays round of golf with friends on Oahu

You usually hear from your golf buddies how they had a 300-yard drive or made a great chip shot.

President Obama is now on vacation with his family in Hawaii, where he’s been indulging in his favorite pastime – golf.

With him were friends Oreg Orme, Darrell Harrington and Bobby Titcomb.

If past year is any indication, it is the first of many golf games ahead during the president’s two-week Hawaii vacation.

Mr Obama is known to be a decent golfer, routinely shooting in the mid- to high 80s.

About two dozen onlookers lined a nearby public street to try to see the president, but security kept the onlookers away from the 18th green.

Obama’s tenure as president has been marked by repeated incidents of major gun violence and he has been lobbying Congress unsuccessfully to pass stricter gun safely laws.

The motorcade then returned to the family’s Kailua vacation home.
