Obama sheds summer curse, just in time for daunting fall

The president, who returned to the White House from Martha’s Vineyard on Sunday night, also has a string of meetings Monday morning.

He’s a lame duck, but he said he’s going to fight like a hawk to get his agenda done.

Summer has previously been Obama’s cruelest season: the hostile health care town halls in 2009, the debt ceiling crisis in 2011, the president’s waffling on Syria’s chemical weapons use in 2013.

While in Vegas, Obama will headline a fundraiser for the Nevada State Democratic Party.

But there were no images of Obama dancing this year.
