Obama Spends Fifth Day of Vacation at Gym, on Golf Course

He is joined by first lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha.

“President Obama seems oblivious to the burden he is placing on Americans with his continuous vacations, getaways and political junkets at taxpayer expense”.

President Obama is now on vacation with his family in Hawaii, where he’s been indulging in his favorite pastime – golf.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Obama says his greatest responsibility as commander in chief is to keep Americans safe. “I said, “Hello Mr. President.’ And he told us, ‘Merry Christmas” and he waved at us”.

With him were friends Oreg Orme, Darrell Harrington and Bobby Titcomb.

Earlier in the morning, President Obama worked out for the first time this vacation at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii’s gym in Kaneohe.

The motorcade arrived at the links a bit before noon and didn’t leave until 5:55 p.m., arriving back at Kailua shortly after 6:30 p.m.

President Barack Obama’s motorcade left Kailua and headed west over the misty Koolau mountain range to Oahu’s Kapolei Golf Course. It’s a mostly sunny morning with temperatures in the upper 70s on the windward coast of Oahu, where the president is vacationing with his family.

After having dinner at Morimoto’s Restaurant in Waikiki with friends, the first family returned to their Kailua rental home at 10 p.m. As the motorcade whizzed on base Saturday, about a dozen people took cellphone videos.
