Obama to visit Dallas next week as city mourns police

At this year’s NATO Summit in Warsaw, US President Barack Obama announced the US would deploy a thousand more troops to Poland.
But it was only 10 hours later when Obama was back at the podium, this time condemning the sniper attack on police officers in Dallas.

The White House announced Friday evening that the President would cut short his European trip by one day and visit Dallas early next week. He plans to visit Dallas early next week. “Real America is coming after you”, has since been deleted.
President Barack Obama says America is “not as divided as some suggest” while acknowledging this has been “a very tough week” for the nation. “To encourage people to listen to each other”.
“Change has been too slow”, Obama said. “And somebody else maybe sits under the shade of the tree that we planted”.
Yet despite Obama’s efforts to bridge misunderstandings between African-Americans and the police, the problem clearly persists.
The leaders reviewed and reconfirmed the defense investment pledge made at the last NATO Summit in Wales.
US Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said the gunman now appeared to have acted alone. Officials said he stressed the importance of finding a solution that could stabilize markets quickly.

In Poland, Obama barely mentioned the languishing transatlantic trade deal he hopes to finalize before leaving office, at least in public. Obama used the Warsaw meeting to tell key USA allies Brussels and London to resolve their differences amicably.
