Obama urged Clinton to concede on Election Night
But a week after he apparently won the Electoral College vote while losing the popular vote to Clinton by well over a million votes, Trump demonstrated yet again his, uh, flexibility.
We can do that through the National Popular Vote Compact, an agreement that Common Cause and other democracy reform organizations have helped push through legislatures in 10 states and the District of Columbia but that still has considerable ground to cover before it can be implemented.
This actually happened three times in the 1800s and now it has happened twice in the last 16 years.
He is set to receive 306 Electoral College votes to 232 for Clinton.
