Oculus Rift Now Available for Pre-Order
There have several new features and services that are coming out every day which add to the charm of the new day technology, and the latest in the line to change the world are Virtual Reality, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence.
According to alphr, for the above-mentioned price Oculus Rift will provide the buyer an Oculus remote, camera, Xbox One controller, all the necessary cables and a copy of EVE Valkyrie and Lucky’s Tale along with Oculus Rift Virtual reality gaming headset. Those of you who don’t want to pre-order can instead wait for the Rift to be available at retail stores near you.
But like many rumours, this particular one made a lot of sense.
In the three years since its first announcement on Kickstarter, Oculus has gone on to be acquired by Facebook for an obscene amount of money, forge partnerships with Microsoft and Samsung to widen its scope and ultimately become the poster boy for VR.
While Oculus has been taking pre-sale orders for its Oculus Rift since January 7, the vendor has yet to announce the availability of the VR device but it should be out soon. The pre-order sales for the device would begin on February 29, with the device scheduled to hit the market in April.
Given the Aperture Science SteamVR demo Valve and HTC have repeatedly shown off leading up to the Vive’s release, it’s expected that a new entry in the Portal series will make its way to the VR headset at some point in the future. The price? $599. Oculus Rift will officially start shipping on March 28, 2016, in 28 countries, including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Yes, Oculus Rift is officially using the Xbox One controller as one of the supported input methods. The device is also available for pre-order starting now.
Dell also offers $200 off on desktop PCs purchased with the new Oculus Rift.
