Off-Duty Memphis Officer Fatally Shot
An off-duty Memphis, Tennessee, police officer was shot multiple times and killed in unknown circumstances, the city’s police director said Sunday, adding details are “very, very sketchy”.
“He has a fiancée that is four months pregnant right now”, Armstrong said.

The fatal police shooting comes just two months after Memphis officer Sean Bolton was gunned down by a small-time drug dealer.
Police Director Toney Armstrong identified the officer as Terence Olridge, 31.
Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong said 31-year-old Terence Olridge was taken to a local hospital on Sunday where he later died.
Officer Terence Olridge, 31, joined the police department a year ago. “His mother is here; his entire family is here”. Armstrong said at this point, police have “more questions than we have answers”.
Brownlee said that Olridge, who had just marked his first anniversary with the department, was engaged to be married. Bolton was white, and Wilbourn is black.In past shootings, Armstrong has addressed the media outside the Regional Medical Center.I didnt think that wed be here again so soon, Armstrong told reporters on Sunday. “My prayers go out to the family and friends of Officer Olridge”.
“Got a task ahead of me and I am prepared”, Olridge said.
Neighbors said Olridge lived in the neighborhood, but it is unclear if he did.
