Off-duty NYPD cop shoots man during attempted robbery, police say
An off-duty police officer shot one of three suspects who tried to rob him in the Bronx early Monday morning, cops said.
Police say it happened just before 4 a.m.in the area of Cresston Ave. and E. 179th St.in Mount Hope.
The man resisted which led one of the suspects to punch him and another took out a firearm and shot him once in his right arm, police said.

Sources said he fired three rounds his off-duty Glock handgun, striking the suspect once.
The other two men involved are still at large. “Call the police. I’m an officer, ‘” Delvalle said.
The officer was not injured in the robbery, police said.
Emergency personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.
Abreu was not hurt, but was treated at Bronx Lebanon Hospital for ringing in his ears.
