Office 365 is down for many users in Europe
Microsoft’s Office 365 service appears to be suffering from a widespread outage with users across Europe complaining of being unable to access the cloud email service.
“Engineering teams have identified an Azure Active Directory configuration error that is believed to be the root cause of the issue”.
Users in the United Kingdom seem to be having the problem problems connecting to Office 365.Update: The Azure Status Dashboard now reports that the issues should be resolved.
However, they first showed up in Visual Studio Team Services on Wednesday, between 9.44 p.m. and 11.44 p.m. UTC, Microsoft said. An update will be provided in 60 minutes, or as events warrant.
The general availability of the new Skype for Business meeting and voice capabilities in Office 365 will enable even more professionals to connect, communicate and collaborate with one another. Instead, a message on the page reads: “There are now no known issues preventing you from signing in to your Office 365 service health dashboard”. Given the name – which suggests an always-on, constantly available service – the outage is somewhat embarrassing. Users can also click-to-call any phone number in emails, documents, databases, address books and on web pages from within Office 365 applications with true carrier-class quality and reliability. The outage appears largely confined to Western and Northern Europe.
