Official trailer released; cast of anti-heroes featured
The trailer is bold, it’s soundtracked by Queen and the movie looks devilishly fun.
Additionally, the new trailer gives more footage of Jared Leto‘s rendition of Joker as well, with him saying in a sinister voice, “I can’t wait to show you my toys”.
Jared Leto is in the mix as the Clown Prince of Crime himself, the Joker and Ben Affleck is certain to make an appearance as Batman/Bruce Wayne.
You can see the self-appointed “worst heroes ever” in the “Suicide Squad” in theatres on August 5, 2016.
If you didn’t tune into DC’s big Dawn of the Justice League special tonight on The CW, then you missed the official debut of the new trailer for Suicide Squad.
Director David Ayer promised during the July event that his flick is a very different type of “superhero” movie.
The film follows imprisoned super-villains recruited by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) for a black ops team tasked with carrying out unsafe missions in exchange for clemency.
Warner Bros., which like CNN is owned by Time Warner, is hoping that “Suicide Squad” expands the DC extended universe beyond the Man of Steel and Caped Crusader. Scott Eastwood, Ike Barinholtz, Alex Meraz, David Harbour, Corina Calderon, and Raymond Olubowale are all part of the upcoming film, as well, for yet to be specified roles.
The studio also released a new poster for Suicide Squad, giving us a new look at all the characters in the supervillain crew.
