Ohio governor hitting road again for presidential events

Given the fickleness of national polling at this stage in the race and the number of Republicans consistently clustered below 5 percent, at least half of the GOP contenders are fighting for the final two Fox News prime time spots.

The Ohio Democratic Party is accusing John Kasich of having a dismal record on the economy. But it’s a strategy with a limited upside.

Kasich was able to unite Ohio’s firefighters, police officers, teachers, nurses, probation officers, and the overwhelming majority of Ohio voters. The governor’s spokesman, Chris Schrimpf, rattled through the others in a phone call with Yahoo News on Monday.

At his alma mater, Kasich is expected to hammer home the argument that he’s the most experienced candidate in the field, highlighting a decades-long record that has taken him from Washington, to Wall Street to Columbus.

His mother Rasmia has also previously made allegations of physical abuse by her husband toward herself and the children. He was loud, he was amusing and he overshadowed Walker that day. And Kasich’s strength in the state might be challenged once national politics are at stake.
