Ohio State QB JT Barrett cited for driving while intoxicated, suspended
Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett, annoyed with a line of questioning about his arm strength this past week, surely knows how Buckeye fans must feel after he was cited early Saturday morning on a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while impaired. The school’s drug and alcohol policy would have required a two-game suspension for the 20-year-old Barrett if he had been charged with a felony. 08 legal limit, according to Eleven Warriors. Meyer’s past decisions to be lenient with discipline should serve as a guide to avoid those mistakes with Ohio State, but after Meyer chose to give Barrett a one-game suspension, it appears Meyer isn’t learning from his past mistakes.

This time J.T. Barrett sidelined himself from the Buckeyes’ matchup with Minnesota. He threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for a 101 yards and scored two touchdowns on the ground.
After a one-game interlude, the Buckeyes are turning back to Jones, who could rekindle the quarterback debate with a big performance when they host the Golden Gophers next Saturday night. Ohio State won that game, but the Buckeyes offense was inconsistent with Jones over the first half of the season.
