Ohio University named top party school by ‘Playboy’
The University Of Iowa, where the Union Bar’s Halloween bash “is enough to make a Playboy editor blush”.
Today marks a new era in the college party scene: Playboy magazine crowned Ohio University No. 1 in it’s ranking of the nation’s top party schools.
Even though UW-Madison fell off the barstool to No. 8, the magazine had great things to say about the party atmosphere in the state capital. Court Street, which connects the campus to Athens’s dining district, is a barhopper’s dream: The tiny half-mile stretch boasts 18 bars.
“And thanks to statewide decriminalization of marijuana possession, students frequently toke up at the appropriately named Bong Hill”, a portion of Playboy’s description of the school reads.
Instead, the top spots go to Ohio University, University of Iowa and Florida State University.
Playboy Magazine has ranked the University of Iowa as the no. 2 Party School in the country. So who can celebrate ranking on top of the top party schools in the United States?
Beyond them are the University of Texas, Syracuse University, the University of Wisconsin, the University of Mississippi and the University of Michigan.
After placing third in Princeton Review’s 2015 version of the list, University of Wisconsin is no stranger to being recognized for its nightlife.
Schools listed in 2015 also had to be close to musical events and use their imagination when it came to putting together their social get-togethers.
