OJ Simpson mini-series has strong ratings in debut

Simpson, now 68, was said to be particularly bothered by FX’s handling of the late Johnnie Cochran (Courtney B. Vance), one of the many lawyers on his defense ream. “They created an O.J. Simpson who didn’t really exist in real life”. The site also offers “5 Reasons Why “The People V. O.J. Simpson” will be the Most Talked-About Series of the Season”. Meanhile, entertainment review website Rotten Tomatoes gave “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” an approval rating of 96 percent, based on 50 reviews, with an average rating of 8.2/10.

ET caught up with Gooding, Jr. – who portrays Simpson in the 10-part limited series – at the Perry Ellis fashion show in NY on Tuesday night after the series premiere, where he calmly reacted to Kaelin’s comments.
Indiewire says that the premier episode was all about introducing key characters that would soon play a greater role in the story such as Christopher Darden. Known as “the trial of the century”, The People v. O.J. Simpson unravels the drama of the 1994-1995 murder trial of the National Football League champion, who was accused of killing his wife, Nicole Brown, and the man she was allegedly having an affair with, Ronald Goldman, in their Brentwood, California home.
