OJ Simpson nearly Killed Himself In Kim Kardashian’s Childhood Bedroom Before
According to Lawrence Schiller – who wrote American Tragedy: The Uncensored Story of the OJ Simpson Defense – the football star, 68, threatened to kill himself in the childhood bedroom of Kim Kardashian!
It may have been about two decades ago, but no one can forget OJ Simpson’s murder trial and the tragic killing of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson as well as her friend Ronald Goldman.
The actual trial raged on for months, during which Simpson was defended by lawyers Johnnie “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit” Cochran, Robert Shapiro, F. Lee Bailey and Robert Kardashian, Kim Kardashian’s father.
Oh my. It’s been 21 years since O.J. Simpson is now in jail in Nevada after being found guilty of armed robbery and kidnapping in another case.
Kris Jenner never made an appearance in the 20/20 special but she did recently reflect on the incident saying she’ll always “feel guilty” for Nicole’s death.
“I could remember feeling my heart, like, thumping so loudly that I thought it was going to pop out of my chest”, Goldman’s sister Kim told ABC7 in a recent interview, recalling her courtroom emotions awaiting the verdict. “Please remember me as a good guy. This is my daughter’s bedroom”, Kardashian Sr. told Schiller in a recorded interview.
The drama and tension of the trial – coverage of which became a mainstay of television schedules around the world in 1995 – is set to be revisited on its 20 anniversary in a number of documentaries and even a dramatisation (courtesy of Glee and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy). His friend Al Cowlings drove him there in his white Bronco.
“Some people kept putting little notes in front of me but I didn’t have time to read all of that crap, so just whatever kind of came up, and I figured family”, Lange said.
The athlete told Kardashian Sr. that he planned to kill himself in Kim’s bedroom.
Simpson’s fate would later be placed in the hands of the jury, who eventually acquitted him of murder. TMZ (via Harvey Levin, one of many reporters to cover the case) is a direct descendant of the trial – as is “CSI” and any crime lab-driven shows where DNA is the key acronym.
