Oklahoma mother charged with using crucifix to kill ‘possessed’ daughter

Police responded to Juanita’s home on a check welfare call Saturday afternoon.

Blood was everywhere, KFOR reported. They state police found Geneva lying in the home with a large crucifix upon her chest and that she had severe trauma around her head and face.

A mother in Oklahoma has been arrested for murder after allegedly forcing a crucifix down her daughter’s throat because she believed her to be possessed by the devil. She said she punched her daughter and forced a crucifix and a religious medallion down her throat.

Police say Juanita also admitted punching her daughter several times, saying the bruises on her hands were from trying to “rid Satan from her daughter’s body”.

Jabee Williams, a local musician, said he often saw the mother and daughter, who worked together as massage therapists, at his shows.

Juanita Gomez was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a complaint of first-degree murder. “I don’t have any words”, said a neighbor who didn’t want to be identified.

The police report also indicates that the mum placed her daughter’s body in a cruciform and washed her.

The woman has reportedly became convinced her daughter was possessed by the devil that triggered the attack. “She was just in her own little world”, the neighbor said. She was pronounced dead after authorities arrived.
