Ole Miss celebrates Sugar Bowl win

MS and OSU are no strangers to one another and will extend their postseason rivalry in grand fashion.

The Cowboys’ lackluster performance in the Sugar Bowl puts a merciful cap on the state of Oklahoma in bowl season. They were 10-0 before losing to Baylor and Oklahoma towards the end of the season. Still a likely first-round pick in the 2016 NFL, Nkemdiche has already announced he has played his last game for the Rebels…. Presumably Nkemdiche’s intoxicated foray in an Atlanta hotel room would provide all the example Freeze needs to keep his charges in line, but the French Quarter has claimed more than one victim. If this was, truly, the last games for the likes of Tunsil and Treadwell, they went out with a bang in dominant fashion. The final game against the Sooners was anything but close, but Oklahoma State now has to find a way to get the focus back against a good Rebels team.

Oklahoma State (10-3) lost its final three games after 10 straight wins. Ashton Lampkin’s interception ended Ole Miss’ first drive, and the Cowboys were able to get pressure on Chad Kelly early on.
