Olly Murs breaks silence after split from long-term girlfriend

The 31-year-old singer has spoken out about the “difficult” time he has been going through after calling time on his romance with 26-year-old Francesca two weeks ago.

On the rumours surrounding Caroline he said: “Me and Caroline have always said interviews we’ve never been together we’re just really good mates”. There is always something going on and I’m not often at home.

Caroline added: “There was a point when we first started working together when I thought, ‘Do I?” Aren’t they?’, and it’s silly.

Murs has recently split up from his three-year relationship with property manager Francesca Thomas.

A source told The Sun: “The split has just happened and it is very raw for Olly, he still feels numb”. I never like to have my private life out there in the press for people to talk about.

Olly has previously said that fans won’t get his next album until 2016, but he has included seven new songs on this special edition of his fourth record.

“Obviously I’ve got X Factor coming up, my book, my CD, so that will keep me busy anyway”.

So it looks like we shouldn’t hold out any hope for the on-screen partnership to turn into a “full-time” partnership.

Within quite literally days of splitting up from his long-term girlfriend there was talk of Olly getting together with his co-host. We’re always here if you need a shoulder to cry on…
