‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Mulan makes a comeback

E!Online reported that Jamie Chung, who plays Mulan will be returning to the series after being notably absent during the fourth season of the show.

Details about Mulan’s appearance this season are being kept under lock and key, but Entertainment Weekly is reporting that she’ll be featured in multiple episodes, appearing in the first and second-halves of the season.

Aside from the anticipated Mulan-Aurora reunion, TVOvermind suggests that Mulan’s return in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 could provide some flashback scenes on what happened during her journey with Robin Hood and the Merry Men. However, perhaps Chung’s character will ultimately find love with a different doe-eyed, red-headed beauty during her multi-episode Season 5 arc.

Another familiar face is set to return in “Once Upon a Time” Season 5. Merida is said to come across Emma Swan’s path as she transforms into The Dark Swan.

Mulan and the rest of her friends were able to help Neal and when that was over the Chinese warrior found new friends in Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) and his renowned Merry Men. I think it would be really disappointing to leave the audience with this giant question mark. There were also hints of a possible romance for Mulan, but it is unclear as of now if that romance will be linked to Princess Aurora.

Furthermore, fans will be seeing the return of a lovable princess, which would be Mulan. Hopefully, this means that she’ll have plenty of time to get some closure with Aurora so that she can start looking for love elsewhere.

Check out the adventure-filled season five premiere of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, September 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

However, the creator did not reveal Mulan’s role in the upcoming season or how she will be coming back to the show.
