One dead, 11 wounded in attack
Reuters reported that a 12-year-old boy had been killed, citing medical workers. “Apparently a restaurant has been attacked”, interior ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said, citing initial information.

It is also a stark reminder of the difficulty Afghan officials face in their attempts to revive the stalled peace process, which broke down in July.
Kabul deputy police chief Gul Agha Rohani said: “It was a suicide auto bomb”.
On January 11, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the United States and China are set to begin talks aimed at establishing a comprehensive roadmap for peace, according to officials.
All of the casualties are Afghan civilians and one of the attackers was captured.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.
Multiple people were injured on Thursday in an attack on a French restaurant in Kabul, Afghan police say.
The chilling terror attack happened at the bustling “Le Jardin” restaurant in Kabul on New Year’s Day.
Residents in a house two blocks from the attack described a heavy blast that left several of their windows shattered on a night when temperatures were forecast to dip near freezing.
The Ghani government condemned the strike, saying it had “no place in peace negotiations”.
The deployment, in addition to a recent arrival of U.S. special forces in the region, comes a year after North Atlantic Treaty Organisation forces formally ended their combat operations in the country.
