One Direction going their separate ways after fifth album
One Direction may have blasted off in to space for its new “Drag Me Down” music video, but it seems like the boy band will soon be moving into fully different directions in the new year.
That’s going to be a long, lonely 12 months for some of us.
A 1D source told The Sun: “The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boyband. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100 percent behind the decision”, the source added.
One Direction formed in 2010 after its five teenage members auditioned individually for the British TV talent show “The X Factor“. According to The Sun, the answer is yes. The tour wraps in October in Sheffield, England.
Speculation about a split grew after Malik quit the group earlier this year.
“Although this latest news may be what One Direction fans have been fearing for some time, there is some hope for them as the group are odds-on to get back together by the end of 2017″. “Even when Zayn was in the band, they had been speaking about having time to focus on personal projects“.
“But there was a meeting recently where it was agreed there would be no tour for the album”.
“They are taking a hiatus so they can work on individual projects for a while but they are not splitting up”, a source close to the band said. He’s about to embark on a solo career.
The band, who enjoy a massive global teenage following, did not comment when contacted by AFP and have not commented on the tabloid report on their various Twitter accounts.
In March, t he band vowed to continue as a four-piece after Malik’s shock departure, which he said was so he could live like a “normal” 22-year-old.
