One Direction Louis Tomlinson’s father in suicide attempt
Louis Tomlinson’s estranged dad Troy Austin tried suicide before being arrested (taken in to custody) for drink driving & after pleaded guilty to failing to bid a specimen, in accordance to a report.
The 46 year old Doncaster man was found trying to gas himself in a auto near his home and it’s been claimed that he was intoxicated when police were called to the scene.
Troy Austin, who split with Tomlinson’s mum when the singer was five, was arrested on Tuesday, 18 August, after failing to provide a specimen of breath.
Prosecutor Joanne Lewis-Crookes notes authorities became involved because people had a feeling Troy was about to self-destruct.
She said it was suspected he had gone off having borrowed a friends auto to kill himself.
He is now in a Doncaster hospital receiving treatment.
Mr Austin is understood to no longer be in contact with Louis. The root of it is a fall-out with a family member which had financial implications on a business they had together and circumstances which have led him to being homeless today.
A family friend told The Sun: “It’s tragic. That has been the case for a period of time”, he said.
Relatives reported Austin missing on Tuesday after he allegedly disappeared in a friend’s auto, following an argument with his brother Dene Flanagan over a hotel they jointly own.
News of Tomlinson’s impending fatherhood broke last month as it was revealed that he is expecting a baby with good friend Briana Jungwirth.
When police found him, they searched his vehicle and found empty cans of beer before asking him to provide a breath test.
It’s thought that Louis’ relationship with his father has been strained since his parents split up when he was 5. I’ve missed out on Louis’s life and I’d like to make up for that. It’s time to heal the rift’. “Life is too short”.
The 23-year-old One Direction star and his 46-year-old dad are not speaking now, with recent reports suggesting their relationship has been fractured for years.
