One Direction release emotional tribute to fans, but is ‘History’ about Zayn

One Direction cite that new tattoos, cars, private planes and rumors aren’t what makes the boy band the sensation they are – it’s all about the friendship and music. And their new song, “History”, is about just that.

Meanwhile, Niall recently revealed he has written a song about one night stands for the band’s new album ‘Made In The A.M’.

“History” zoomed to the top spot on real-time song raced to No. 1 on the real-time Billboard + Twitter Trending 140, Billboard reported.

“It’s really great because obviously that song is mainly about the fans and what they’ve done”, Payne said.

The group got a few of their loyal fans – who had lined up outside their recording studio desperate for a chance to meet the group – to perform the final chorus on the track with them, an idea which Liam wishes he thought of.

E! News reports that Days before launching their “Made in the A.M.” album, the “hand-clapping, sing-along song” gives homage to the 1D’s inconceivable accomplishments for the last five years.

One Direction take over the cover of this weekend’s issue of Fabulous magazine. “You and me got a whole lot of history / We could be the greatest thing that the world has ever seen / You and me got a whole lot of history / So don’t let it go, we can make a few more, we can live forever”, the band sings in the chorus. The break will allow the individual members to explore lucrative projects and to concentrate on tapping their other skills.
