One Direction releases first single post Zayn Malik’s exit

One Direction surprised fans by releasing a new single.

The British boy band premiered “Drag Me Down” less than 24 hours prior on Spotify. “Have waited a long time but our new single Drag Me Down is out!!” “It’s called Drag Me Down & I hope you love it as much as we do (sic)”.

“We wanted to surprise everyone with the whole single just dropping”, Niall Horan tells the crowd, adding, “And that’s exactly what we did tonight here with you”.

“Thank you for all your constant support”. Fans already seem taken with the song, though some remain forlorn at the loss of Malik.

Louis recently hit headlines after it was claimed he’s set to become a father.

He is still to confirm it himself, but he is allegedly expecting a baby with US-based stylist Briana Jungwirth.

One Direction has proved that it is still going strong without Zayn Malik, with the boy band’s new song breaking streaming records. It was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who I really am!

A new album will be launched in November, the fifth in total and the first as a four-piece since Zayn Malik quit earlier this year.

The boys are now in the middle of the On the Road Again tour in America before returning to the UK in September.
