Police bomb squads including bomb-sniffing dogs launched a search of the building to determine whether any other such letters had been delivered.

“I have been informed about the explosion in the IMF’s Paris office, which caused injuries to one of our staff”.
Greece’s interior ministry said authorities in both Greece and Germany were working together on the case.
A police intervention is underway near the World Bank, which is located in the same offices as the International Monetary Fund.
Since early 2015, France has been hit by a series of deadly attacks by Islamic extremists.
According to various sources, one person was wounded after a bomb exploded.
The group, designated a terrorist organization by the US Department of State, said the failed attack was part of an ongoing operation they call the “Nemesis Project”.
Staff from the fund’s office were evacuated following the incident and troops and police guarded the area in western Paris.
Many Greeks blame Germany and the International Monetary Fund for imposing years of public-sector cuts and policy overhauls in exchange for bailout packages needed to prop up the debt-ridden country. While France has been an ally to Greece’s government in negotiations over the bailout, far-left and anarchist groups oppose the whole global financial system.
The incident happened one day after a parcel containing explosives was mailed to the head of the German finance ministry, Wolfgang Schaüble, in Berlin.
