One More Mild Afternoon Before Weekend Cool Down
Whoa! What a difference a cool front makes!
Sunday morning will likely bring a few widespread frost across the area, with temperatures dropping into the lower 30s.
The dangerously hot and dry weather pattern will continue Thursday and Friday before a cool down arrives as we move into the weekend.
Overnight, skies will be mostly clear. While a sprinkle or shower is possible, mainly in the afternoon, most of us stay dry.
Yesterday’s cold front is the culprit, and he has a partner in crime that will drop temps even further this weekend.
Get ready for another blast of cool air Friday night. Highs will drop into the low 60s for Saturday and into the mid 50s for Sunday.
Skies will become sunny this afternoon, but it won’t be almost as warm as it has been. So, consider bringing those potted plants in or near the house if you want prevent any damage. Chilly overnight lows in the upper 30s and low 40s.
The weather will continue to be sunny and rather dry next week.
Despite the breeze it turned out to be another decent mild day around the Quad Cities with highs reaching the lower 70s.
