The OnePlus 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, with Adreno 430 GPU, and 4GB of RAM. The highlight of the camera is that it large 1.3 micrometre light-collecting pixels, which as per the company delivers some great low-light shots. But OnePlus sent us some firmware updates and the issue was fixed. This is aimed at providing a better idea of overall performance. If you’re in the market for an Android phone, and you live in the West, this phone is definitely worth considering. The combination of metal body and the plastic back panel, which looks like sandstone, enables a good grip. There are no lags – it’s a total powerhouse. Another day, when it was on WiFi, it spent seven hours charging to just 50%. But it doesn’t come with any nice features, such as wireless charging or, more importantly, turbo charging.

Software: Although the phone comes with what OnePlus calls the Oxygen UI, it is almost the stock version of Android Lollipop.

Just like any other software update, the OxygenOS 2.0.1 update for OnePlus 2 is being rolled out in phases. It doesn’t feel like a giant phone from side to side, though it’s oddly tall.

Camera: The 2 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera which supports pictures with a resolution of 4128 x 3096 pixels. “Similarly, you can get to the flashlight with a “V” gesture and draw a “||” to pause playback. Tap on the notification, then follow the instructions on the screen. It’s a convenient way to access frequently used apps, contacts, and more, and it helpfully keeps the clutter of icons off your home screen. However, you will not be able to use Verizon or Sprint network on it.

OnePlus and Ola will also have unique social media campaigns for customers to win the invites. Not one. Far better than you can say for TouchWiz or Sense. Invites are in such high demand, they’re now selling on eBay for hundreds of dollars. It’s also reversible, so you don’t have to fiddle around and guess which way to connect the cord to your phone. You can get a lot of excellent models for a fraction of the cost of the iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy phone.
