Oops – Donald Trump retweeted a quote from the founder of fascism

In an article titled “How we fooled Donald Trump into retweeting Mussolini”, the website Gawker took credit for the fake Twitter account. It’s a very interesting quote…What difference does it make, whether it’s Mussolini or somebody else?

We came up with the idea for that Mussolini bot under the assumption that Trump would retweet just about anything, no matter how dubious or vile the source, as long as it sounded like praise for himself. “It’s certainly a very interesting quote”.

“You want to be associated with a fascist?” asked host Chuck Todd. It’s a very interesting quote and people can talk about it.

Donald Trump retweeted a quote Sunday morning from Italian fascist Benito Mussolini. “And certainly, hey, it got your attention, didn’t it?” I mean, I don’t know.

I am now going to continue building my underground lair, where I can escape from civilization because I can’t bear living in an America where all of this is going on. I know nothing about white supremacists.

“That’s probably why I have, between Facebook and Twitter, 14 million people”, Trump said of his followers. “Would you just say unequivocally you condemn them and you don’t want their support?” Mr. Trump said on CNN’s “State of the Union”. Trump asked for a list of the groups.

Trump’s victories in early primaries, including New Hampshire and Nevada, have made him the frontrunner in the quest to be the Republican nominee for president.
