OPPO A33 with 5-inch Display Goes Official at $235
The OPPO A33, a mid-ranged smartphone from the Chinese brand, unveiled in China at an equivalent price of $235 (RMB 1,499). At this price point, the Oppo A33 can compete with Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) and Xiaomi Mi 4i.
This is not the first OPPO smartphone to launch with this kind of pricing, the difference can be identified in the design and build quality of the devices when compared to other devices. The new OPPO smartphone comes with metal frame, and glass cover on front as well as back side of the phone. Last month, the company has launched a new Android smartphone from its Neo series called Oppo Neo 7 and was listed on its global website.
The dual-SIM handset measures 142.7 x 71.7 x 7.55mm and weighs in at 146 grams.
Speaking about the specifications, the Oppo A33 flaunts a 5-inch (540×960 pixels) TFT display with a pixel density of 220ppi. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset with a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. It includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.
Sporting an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera, the Oppo A33 also sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Those specs tie in pretty much with the earlier TENAA listing, although the RAM has increased from 1GB to 2GB. The smartphone features a 2400mAh capacity battery inside, rated to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 250 hours of standby time. It bears an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Global Positioning System with A-GPS and GLONASS, 4G LTE, and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfers.
