Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition Launching in Fall

The new expansion is due out by the end of the year and a Definitive Edition is also in the works.

Moon Studio’s hit platform adventure game Ori and the Blind Forest is getting a Definitive Edition, complete with a new expansion.

What came as a totally odd – yet awesome – surprise yesterday was the announcement of Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition.

Additionally, during Microsoft’s coverage of Gamescom 2015, Mahler and project manager Gennadiy Korol added that there will be new areas, artwork, mechanics, and “potentially new abilities”.

Major Nelson didn’t provide details on the expansion, and only noted it would release for Windows 10 and Xbox One later this year. Odd, because the game launched on Xbox One only a few months ago, awesome, because there’s more content on the way.
