Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o talk ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’
Gwendoline was joined by Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, who return to the saga after starring in the original trilogy, as well as British newcomers Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.
“The advice he gave me that stayed with me was ‘Go about creating this character like any other role, ‘ ” says Nyong’o talking about sci-fi well-versed Andy Serkis who served as her guru for the film. ‘And so for them to have that moment – which is sentimental no matter how you look at it – and for me to be present and be a part in it was really an honour’.
We had a chance to sit-down with Star Wars’ newcomers Lupita and Oscar earlier this month and picked their brains on the importance of the franchise and its undoubted impact on today’s movie climate.
