Outlook for iOS now embraces Apple iPhone 6s’ 3D Touch gestures
If we talk in terms of mails, then we can call Microsoft outlook the best platform for managing our inbox as it makes the unending burden of email more bearable, and today Microsoft gave us a new gift of 3D touch support. This latest update of the Outlook app is compatible with iOS 8.0 or above on all of Apple’s mainstream gadgets. iPhone 6s and 6s Plus can get on with tasks faster than before, accessing shortcuts to draft an email quickly, just by tapping through the app.
No other, 3D gesture is added anywhere else in the app and the users are limited to these actions from their home screen. The user simply long presses the application’s icon to access these services. There are included options of opening, changing or closing of tabs and also shortcuts to trigger voice functions. JetBlue carries more than 32 million customers a year to 93 cities in the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America with an average of 900 daily flights. The latest edition of IDC’s quarterly smartphone report shows that Apple’s market share is just 13.5% worldwide, with Android manufacturers accounting for the lion’s share of the remainder.
Finally, there’s a new feature in 2.1 that lets you preview and capture photos in real-time using your device camera while a preset is applied. The ad offers highlighted options to “learn more” or “upgrade now”, and an option to dismiss the ad and skip to the regular App Store interface is tucked away in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Only available on iPads, the feature, permits the clients to reference web searches alongside other activities.
Hopefully this is something we’ll start seeing more of in other apps. Apple only recently introduced this kind of pressure-sensitive functionality this year – first in the Apple Watch and the new MacBook (known as “Force Touch” on those devices) released towards the beginning of the year, and now in the iPhone 6S.
