Overwatch: Doomfist Revealed – Details, Abilities, and Origin Trailer
Overwatch fans rejoice! Doomfist is finally here and is, in fact, on the PTR as we speak. Players have been abuzz about the character since a new patch, referred to internally as the “Doomfist/summer games” update, was released. Now Blizzard has officially confirmed that he’ll be making his way to the game as the next Hero, though the video announcing him featured a voice actor other than Crews.
Blizzard produced an animated introduction for Doomfist, and his “Origin Story” has been embedded above.
In a new Overwatch blog post, Blizzard has teased the community further about the character Doomfist. Since Overwatch is currently in Patch 1.12, with a version of patch 1.13 in the PTR right now, this clearly signaled the imminent arrival of Doomfist. However, not long before Orisa was released, the Doomfist gauntlet was “stolen” and Ogundimu had gone missing.
Doomfist is widely expected to be the next playable character in hugely popular PS4, Xbox One and PC shooter Overwatch. It appears he’s ready to make his grand entrance soon in the game.
A new post on the official PlayOverwatch stie has popped up, taking the form of a news broadcast from the Times of Numbani in the Overwatch universe. Rocket Punch does extra damage if the enemy is knocked back into a wall, so timing and aim will be critical with this one.
When Overwatch introduced its 24th hero, the robot Orisa, they first teased it with a cryptic article posted on February 21. One is a glimpse of Doomfist’s ultimate ability Meteor Strike, which involves Doomfist slamming the ground with that fist of his and doing a whole mess of damage.
Seismic Slam: Doomfist leaps forward and smashes into the ground knocking nearby enemies toward him.
We knew he was on the way, and now the Overwatch villain with a mythical past has finally arrived. Letting him fire short range bursts from his fists and automatically regenerating ammo, the hand cannon lets him fight even when his punches are on cooldown.
