Overwatch’s ‘Uprising’ Event Adds New Co-Op Brawl, 100 New Items
Now thanks to a new leaked video on PlayStation France’s YouTube channel, we know what it might be all about, and for how long the event will be live. You’ll be able to play as either Reinhardt, Tracer, Torbjorn or Mercy in a wave-based, survival mode.
Although the original trailer has since been taken down, the video is already making its way around the internet with eager Overwatch fans picking it apart for clues regarding the new update.
As the Uprising events page shows, there’s 10 new skins, three new highlight intros (My Baby, Selfie, Perspective), and three new emotes (Training, Push-Ups, Flair). There also appears to be some other goodies thrown in, including comical one-off skins for Torbjörn and Bastion and more than 100 new poses, sprays, and other collectibles. Seeing as Overwatch has always been a multiplayer-focused experience with nothing in the way of an actual narrative for players to take part in, this could be very interesting.
Overwatch’s new event is called Insurrection, and as Blizzard‘s tease indicated, it starts tomorrow, April 11th.
The event runs from today through May 1 and is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The mode, wherein gamers played as either Ana, Hanzo, McCree, or Soldier: 76, had them make a stand against enemies that include Mercy, Reaper, Roadhog and Junkenstein in their Halloween skins.
The newest Overwatch PVE event, titled Uprising, has finally launched after weeks of speculation. Well, Blizzard’s expertise, apart from coming up with some really brilliant games with fantastic cut scenes, would be to come up with content that are deemed to be essential, despite being optional in essence. And while you may get online, you’ll likely notice some missing modes and you may still get disconnected at any moment.
