Ozil oozing with confidence ahead of Liverpool clash
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp gave a positive injury update ahead of tonight’s game against Arsenal ta Anfield.
“My respect goes up day by day because it’s really intensive to work in the Premier League, especially in a team with global matches [for their players] too”, he said, as reported by Sky Sports.
“It s always a big challenge to play against clubs like Arsenal or Manchester United”. Anything can happen. In this year we are only focused on trying everything to make a season that when we are old and grey we can look back and say it was really worth it, that we found new friends, had success, all those things.
“They had a very strong manager before, they have a very strong one now and Jurgen Klopp has the personality to do well there”. “But you don’t have to follow Pato – that’s private advice!” Our landlord disagrees however, stating the veteran would be better off in German football. I think: ‘Let’s recover for three days, on the fourth and fifth days train, sixth play again and take the next step.’ But that’s a dream world.
Ziege though, who spent a season at the club in 2000-01, has no doubt Klopp can deliver at Liverpool, as he did at Borussia Dortmund. “We should play free football, defend lively with a lot of passion and have the best understanding in offence”.
Premier League leaders Arsenal will be looking to capitalise on Liverpool’s growing injury list when they head to Anfield.
“My respect for Wenger has grown since I’m here”.
“The game on Wednesday is so important in the league for different reasons; they’re trying to get that top spot and we’re trying to get as high up as we can, and the three points are important in themselves”, he said. Wenger said it was only normal for Klopp to complain about the packed fixture list as he used to coach in Germany, where clubs get winter break.
“The players have their experiences against Arsenal, I have my experience against Arsenal, but I think we should find an actual, present plan for this game”.
“The situation now is better than it was two or three days ago”, Klopp explained.
“I could say the truth and it’s no, but because I don’t want to talk about all of these rumours then I will say we won’t say anything until a contract is signed”.
