Packers continuing fan activities for NFC Divisional Playoff game after
As Green Bay revved it’s motor just long enough to throttle the Washington Reskinis, 38-19 all of Packer Nation stood up and took notice because the team finally played well, the win evoked memories of World Titles won past and the man calling the shots, Aaron Rodgers, finally looked like he was having fun. The Packers hope their second meeting against the Cardinals will have a different result when the two teams play in a NFC divisional round playoff game Saturday (KGW-8 (NBC), 5:15 p.m. PT/8:15 p.m. ET).
The Cardinals (13-3) were routed at home by Seattle 36-6 in their regular-season finale, a performance the team and coach Bruce Arians wrote off as an aberration in a game that meant nothing in terms of playoff positioning.
With the Packers and Seahawks joining the AFC’s Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs, it’s the first time road teams went 4-0 in the wild-card round under the current National Football League playoff format, which started in 1990.
“I’d like to tell all the naysayers – how about those Packers and what they did yesterday”, said one caller to The Fan 107.5 in Green Bay.
The Cardinals combine a strong, aggressive defense with the arm of quarterback Carson Palmer, who is enjoying a career revival in the desert.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers pumps his fist as he walks off the field in the closing minutes of the team’s NFL wild-card playoff football game against the Washington Redskins in Landover, Md., Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016. After moving left guard Josh Sitton to left tackle for the season finale vs. Minnesota, they went with J.C. Tretter at left tackle in Sunday’s Wild Card victory over Washington.

The ability to get first down, be productive on first and second downs, we were after that slow start, generating first downs, get going and play high tempo.
That has typically been the case with coach Mike McCarthy calling the plays and quarterback Aaron Rodgers taking snaps under center.
But after the 35-18 loss to Green Bay, reality hit.
“He’s obviously going to be a big-time player for us for a lot of years”, Gruden said.
For one of the rare times in recent memory, the Green Bay Packers are a major underdog.
The -7 favored Cardinals defensive line made it look easy in Week 16, giving the Packers little to no room to operate on offense. Seattle rides a six-game SU road winning win streak into Carolina, holding opponents to just 7.2 points per game over that stretch. We got our mojo going.
Alright, so the Packers believe they can make a run.
Teddy Bridgewater was 17 of 24 for 146 yards for the Redskins (11-6). Not only did the Packers not have Bakhtiari, but right tackle Bryan Bulaga dropped out in the third quarter with an ankle injury.
