Packers nab Christine Michael from Seahawks

Reed absolutely torched the Packers defense previous year when the teams met in the NFC Wild Card, catching nine passes for 120 yards and a touchdown. Packers WR Jordy Nelson had two receiving touchdowns in that game, and is now tied for the top spot in the league with eight touchdown catches.

Those of us who don’t play or coach, however, are probably unaware of the heightened level of annoyance the scrutiny takes on when a team is losing like the Packers are.

Without Matthews, the Packers lack a pass rushing force that must be accounted for at all times opening opportunities for others. “You’ve got to bring it and be on it every snap for 60 minutes'”. They’re not in this locker room, they’re not in the meeting rooms.

The Packers are fourth in the National Football League in run defense.

Aaron Rodgers has picked up his game as of late. Cousins threw for 262 yards, two TDs and had 110.9 last week.

What McCarthy hasn’t done is add more pressure on Matthews.

Michael, who was waived by the Seattle Seahawks one day earlier, was claimed by the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday afternoon. Their last Sunday night home win came against the Dallas Cowboys in the final week of the 2012 season, which won them the division.
