Packers WR Nelson initially diagnosed with torn ACL

The Steelers meanwhile have lost two straight games this preseason and will be looking for their first win. The Packers are next on the schedule and the team will next play against the Bills on the road after that. The team then plays against the Vikings on the road and they have the Cowboys, Raiders, Cardinals and Vikes again to finish the season.

During Green Bay’s first preseason game against the New England Patriots, Janis ended up catching two passes for 31 yards and a touchdown.

If Nelson is indeed lost for the season, the Packers’ receiving corps will be led by Randall Cobb and Davante Adams, a second-year player who had a standout offseason and of whom quarterback Aaron Rodgers has said he’s expecting big things.

Second update: Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin says Pouncey will need surgery on his ankle, but did not establish. a timetable for his return.

Pouncey was eventually carted off the field, which didn’t seem very awesome for Steelers fans.

Nelson had a career year last season, with 98 catches, 1,519 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The preseason is rolling on and we’re inching towards the start of the 2015 NFL season. He did not come near that towards the Steelers, although probably the most vital throw Rodgers made got here on a comparatively innocuous hitch to Nelson on sixth play from scrimmage.

No doubt about it, the Packers will get theirs.
