Pak-India dialogue set to get underway again: Nawaz Sharif
Dr TCA Raghavan, Indian High Commissioner, made a farewell call on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at the PM House on Tuesday.
However, Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry, Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif attended the meeting, Aziz said.
An 11 member delegation which accompanied Prime Minister Modi during his visit to Lahore was issued temporary visas and all immigration procedures were followed.
He said that the brotherly relations between the two countries will be further strengthened by increased economic ties.
Aziz said except reaction from some quarters in India the visit of Prime Minister Modi had been welcomed by majority of the people in the two countries as well as the global community. Some delegates accompanying the Indian PM stayed at the airport and hence there was no need to issue them visas.
Nawaz Sharif said that it was not only his responsibility to get Pakistan out of crisis rather the whole political spectrum would have to play its role in making peaceful and progressive Pakistan.
Responding to a point raised by leader of the opposition Aitzaz Ahsan, the adviser said no secret meeting was held between the prime ministers of Pakistan and India in Kathmandu.
Mr Modi and Mr Sharif in recent months had had three meetings.
